And here is another instalment of Why I Live In Western Montana!
The beautiful waters of the North Fork of the Blackfoot River leaving the scorched and rugged Scapegoat Wilderness, which is at the southern tip of the Bob Marshall Wilderness complex, the largest contiguous wilderness area in the lower 48.
The sign says this is Bull Trout water, and I can attest to that! The cutthroats here are wonderful to catch, but you must be patient, because the water is so clear you see them coming from the very bottom of the river, and the tendency is to pull the fly too early! Peace of mind is to be found in abundance here.
